Test Methods

Under normal circumstances, the insulation resistance test is to output a fixed value of DC voltage value, and then detect the leakage current to ground or other parts. After pressurizing it for 1min, the degree obtained is the insulation resistance value. In the insulation resistance test, the most important part is the absorption ratio test, which can reflect the degree of insulator damage and moisture regain in electrical equipment in time. Normally, the insulation resistance of the equipment at room temperature is qualified and the absorption ratio is within 1.3 before the insulation of the task equipment can be qualified.

Importance of insulation testing
