Recently, Taiwan NCC issued a notice according to the 1112502 proposal, requiring RF equipment applicants to provide more complete antenna specifications or antenna test reports from March 1, 2023.
NCC 1112502 Proposal Content
◆ The complete antenna specification or antenna report shall include antenna type, manufacturer and address, brand, model, frequency and Gain value, 2D or 3D diagram and other information;
◆ Low-power RF equipment can refer to IEEE ANSI, European Union ETSI EN and EIA, FCC 47 CFR Part 2, KDB, ARIB STD-T67 and other standards;
◆ Low-power RF equipment, RF components and restricted terminal equipment shall provide antenna specifications or antenna test reports according to FCC KDB 353028 and FCC TCB Workshop Part 15 Antenna Update on October 26, 2022.
What is NCC certification?
The full name of NCC is National Communications Commission, which is established for the Taiwan Communications Commission and the development of Taiwan's communications and communication. It is mainly responsible for frequency management, radio wave detection, network domain name and website, and related international exchanges and cooperation. The circulation and use of LPE and TTE equipment in the Taiwan market must go through Taiwan NCC certification.

1. Public Switched Telephone Network Equipment (PSTN)
Wired telephone (including VOIP network telephone), automatic alarm equipment, telephone recorder, fax machine, teletypewriter, remote control device, wireless main and auxiliary equipment of wired telephone, user-provided special exchange, button telephone system, computer telephone integration equipment, data equipment (ADSL terminal equipment and splitter), incoming call display terminal equipment, 2.4GHz radio frequency telecommunication terminal equipment, DS1/T1/E1 terminal equipment, etc.
2. Land Mobile Communication Network Equipment (PLMN)
Radio call system terminal equipment, mobile data terminal equipment, relay radio telephone, GSM mobile telephone and terminal equipment, DCS1800 mobile telephone and terminal equipment, third and fourth generation mobile communication terminal equipment (the third generation mobile communication (3G) business license will expire on December 31, 2018).
3. Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)
ISDN digital telephone, ISDN personal computer add-on card, ISDN G4 fax machine, ISDN video telephone, ISDN terminal adapter, ISDN terminal adapter module, ISDN PABX, other ISDN user terminal equipment, etc.
4. Low-power RF motor products
Wireless network (WLAN) products (including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n), UMII, Bluetooth products, RFID (125kHz~134kHz, 13.56MHz, 27MHz, 922MHz~928MHz, 2.4GHz, 5.8GHz), ZigBee, wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, wireless headset microphone, radio interphone, wireless remote control toys, various radio remote controls, various wireless anti-theft devices, Family Radio Service (FRS), etc.

NCC certification process
1. The entrusting party provides product data to ZRLK testing agency for evaluation and quotation;
2. The entrusting party confirms the counter-signed quotation, fills in the application form, provides samples and data, arranges the payment (the first payment), and the institution opens the case;
3. Arrange product forecast and review data;
4. If the test and data have problems, arrange rectification and retest until they are qualified;
5. After the test and data are qualified, the issuing authority shall conduct witness test;
6. After the witness test is completed, the issuing authority shall issue the test report and issue the certificate;
7. The entrusting party shall pay off the payment (balance), get the certificate report and close the case.
Note: NCC certification does not accept foreign test reports and certificates.
Before the applicant has appointed a local agent, the foreign manufacturer can temporarily serve as the holder of the certification. However, if it is necessary to handle and complete the business of imported products, it is still necessary to have local agents.
